Taking the first step towards the smile you’ve been dreaming of
During this initial appointment, we’ll show you around the office and introduce you to some of our team members. We’ll then take a some digital photographs and possibly a dental CT scan which will help our doctors analyze your specific orthodontic needs. At this point, you’ll receive a comprehensive oral examination from Dr. Dillehay. Once we’ve reviewed your records and the results of your clinical exam, we’ll sit down and discuss with you our findings and recommendations. Depending on your individual needs, some or all of the following topics may be discussed.
- Any oral issues that orthodontic treatment can address and correct
- If treatment is needed now, or if we feel it would be more beneficial to delay treatment until the appropriate growth, tooth eruption, or other factors have occurred
- What treatment options are available to correct the problem, including braces, aligners, and any other necessary special appliances
- The length of treatment
- The cost of any proposed orthodontic treatment
- The payment options that are available, as well as a review of any relevant insurance benefits

Many dental insurance policies will also cover a portion of orthodontic treatment.
